Kimberly Simmons

Manager, Contracts 

Kimberly Simmons is the Contracts Manager at Dakota Consulting, Inc. She has more than 21 years of experience in federal government contracting.

At Dakota, Kim manages all contractual matters and is the liaison between the company and its subcontractors and government customers.

As a senior-level executive, Kim worked in contract administration and management with small, large and not-for-profit enterprises. She brings abilities to provide overall contract administrative support in compliance, reviewing, developing and implementing policies and procedures; pricing; and monitoring pre- and post-award contract administrative activities. She has a demonstrated track record of success working with federal government agencies, such as General Services Administration, Department of Defense, National Institutes of Health, as well as, aerospace and IT commercial organizations. She has expertise in a range of contract vehicles, including GSA Federal Service Schedules Contracts (IT 70, MOBIS, PSS, PES and OASIS); Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (8(a) STARS II, Alliant); agency–based IDIQ Task Orders Contracts (DHS EAGLE) and Blanket Purchase Agreements.

Kim is studying to attain her bachelor’s degree in Management, with a minor in Acquisitions, from Strayer University, Rockville Campus. In addition, she will earn her a Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) this year and is a member of the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA).

She enjoys spending time with her children and family, cooking and traveling.
