Dakota Consulting, Inc. announced today the appointment of Mr. Richard Vanderhyde as Director of Business Development. Mr. Vanderhyde has worked for more than 30 years with small and large companies engaged in federal contracting with nearly all the federal government agencies, with strong emphasis on Department of Defense (DoD) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He brings excellent working knowledge of government contracting, acquisition policies and procedures, socioeconomic sub-contracting requirements and experience with all aspects of marketing, congressional lobbying, partnering and competitive bidding to win new and recompete business. “Having been involved with many companies, I have learned to recognize the potential for continued growth and achieving the desired revenue level. I welcome the opportunity to leverage my experience with Dakota’s leadership, technical and management talent and corporate-wide focus on quality to advance its track record of success. Vanderhyde is a graduate of Villanova University, where he received a B.S. degree in mathematics. He also studied chemistry for three years at St. John’s University and completed graduate work at George Washington University in engineering administration. Upon completion of US Navy Flight School, he flew the F4-J Phantom II with Fighter Squadron 41 (VF-41) on the aircraft carrier USS Independence CVA 62 and the USS Roosevelt CVA 42.
