Dakota Continues to Sponsor Northwest High School Robotics Group

January 1, 2015

As part of Dakota's dual commitment to the next generation of science and technology leaders and giving back to the community, Dakota continued our sponsorship of the Northwest High School Robotics Group, known as Jagbotics, this year. This group, one of the few in Montgomery County, designs robots that participate in For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) competitions. Madan Thakur, Dakota Technical Lead and a parent of one of the team's students, said, "Dakota has been gracious in their support of Jagbotics, a rookie team, for the past couple of years in line with the STEM initiative. As a parent, I observe the real difference of this support, allowing the team to focus more on using the state-of-the-art technologies collaboratively in making their project and dream come true. Dakota, as a tech company, can leverage its expertise of software engineering processes to lend and garner support as part of the 'Care and Share' effort for community outreach for the 'Gen Next.'"
